Layered Process Audits (LPA) – Leadership Overview – 1/2-Day

Top leadership has a high interest in ensuring that manufacturing and business processes are performed right the first time. Otherwise, the result is scrap, rework, wasted time and other costly impacts. Layered Process Audits (LPA) are a strategy to ensure that key aspects of a process which are likely to vary are in fact done right the first time.

This workshop helps participants understand how LPA fits within their current mode of operation and helps accelerate a problem prevention mind-set. Participants will leave with an understanding of what is required to implement an LPA strategy that encompasses best practices and satisfies customer requirements.

Site leadership should participate in this 1/2-day workshop to understand key aspects of LPA and learn how to rollout or improve their site LPA system to take performance to the next level.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Explain the value and impact of LPA
• Lead or participate in the rollout of a plant’s LPA program
• Charter a cross-functional team to implement LPA
• Conduct process verifications utilizing an LPA checksheet
• Evaluate the effectiveness of their site’s LPA system
